See this Video of a man physically abusing his wife in public

A video of a man hitting and raining blows on his wife at a toll plaza in Johor Baru, Singapore, has gone viral, prompting outraged social media users to appeal for witnesses to lodge a police report.

The minute-long clip, uploaded onto the Facebook page of Durian Kopi O last Friday evening, has been viewed nearly 250,000 times, garnered over 2000 Likes and shares. Close to 1,000 users also left comments on the post, with many condemning the man's actions.

In the video, the woman is seen sitting by the side of the road, near the Tol Plaza Ayer Hitam, in front of a black car. The man, dressed in a red shirt, can be seen raining multiple blows on her. A teenager said to be the woman's daughter is also seen trying to shield her from the blows.

Facebook user Hazwati Hanapi said the deed was carried out in a public area and wondered what other abuses the woman has been subjected to behind closed doors.

Kluang district police chief Mohamad Laham confirmed that the incident had taken place, but said no police report had been lodged.

The country’s national assembly approved amending the Act on the Management of Narcotic Drugs on Friday to allow non-hallucinogenic doses of medical marijuana. Still, using weed even for medical purpose will be strictly controlled with patients required to apply to the Korea Orphan Drug Centre, a government body facilitating patient access to rare medicines, after receiving a doctor’s prescription. Approval will be granted on a case-by-case basis, according to the country’s Ministry of Food and Drug Safety. South Korea has some of the toughest rules on cannabis consumption with citizens prosecuted for using weed in other countries where recreational marijuana is legalised. Under the country’s anti-drug laws, smoking and trading marijuana remains illegal with th...
