South Korea becomes first East Asian Country to Legalize Medical Marijuana

South Korea has become the first east Asian country to legalise medical cannabis in a surprising move to expand the treatment options for patients with epilepsy and other rare diseases in the conservative country. The country’s national assembly approved amending the Act on the Management of Narcotic Drugs on Friday to allow non-hallucinogenic doses of medical marijuana. Still, using weed even for medical purpose will be strictly controlled with patients required to apply to the Korea Orphan Drug Centre, a government body facilitating patient access to rare medicines, after receiving a doctor’s prescription. Approval will be granted on a case-by-case basis, according to the country’s Ministry of Food and Drug Safety. No water to flush Toilet at Murtala International Airport! Nollywood Actress cries out!!

Mary Remmy Njoku, a popular Nollywood actress, recently revealed a very bad situation she experienced at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Ikeja, Lagos via her Instagram page. According to the CEO of ROK studios, there was no water to flush toilets at the international airport, thereby leaving the toilets full with “different layers of waste.” She posted a photo of the airport and wrote:  “Whenever I hear people talking crazy about Nigeria i dive in and defend my Fatherland. But these days, Naija Dey fall my hand! How can there be no water to flush the toilets in an International Airport? Haba! The toilets are full. Different layers of waste/tissue. No water! Abeg I Dey travel abroad go piss. #faan #Nigeria #buhari.”

The Former Super Eagles Coach, Stephen Keshi, is dead accoring to a tweet on the Nigeria Football Federation's official twitter handle @thenff ‎Emmanuel Ado a brother to the late coach says the 54-year-old died of Cardiac arrest in the early hours of Wednesday, June 8.‎ ‎ The former international football player and coach, lost his wife, Kate, last year after a prolonged battle with cancer. ‎Keshi has coached the national teams of Togo and Mali, qualifying the former to the 2006 FIFA World Cup. ‎In his last job with Nigeria, he won the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations and reached the Round of 16 at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.‎‎‎‎

Buhari says he doesn't need Cameron’s apology, but the return of stolen money

President Muhammadu Buhari has said that he would not be demanding any apology from British Prime Minister, Mr. David Cameron over his diplomatic gaffe, describing Nigeria, along with Afghanistan as 'fantastically corrupt'. ‎President Buhari said instead, he would demand action from Cameron, by returning Nigeria's stolen money and assets stashed in the United Kingdom. Buhari finally signs 2016 Budget

President Muhammadu Buhari has signed the 2016 appropriation Act into law. Mr. Buhari signed the budget in the presence of the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, in his office at the presidential villa Abuja. ‎ Others who witnessed the budget been signed by the President were the national chairman of the governing All Progressives Congress, APC, John Odigie-Oyegun and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal. ‎ The 2016 budget estimates suffered several delays after claims and counter claims from both the legislature and executive arms, each accusing the other of padding the budget. The General Overseer of the Synagogue church of All Nation, Pastor T.B Joshua, got many talking over the weekend when he rolled out a huge amount of money to 39 Nigerians out of the reported 172 Nigerians who were deported from Libya on Friday 11th March 2016. According to reports, the deportees were each given the sum of N100,000 by the prophet, who is well known for his charitable gestures. ‎One of the deportees, Fidelis Onos, who spoke on behalf of the group, said most of them had been imprisoned for up to one year in Libya after they were suddenly arrested. Trabzonspor player Salih Dursin was furious after a referee in a Turkish league match gave the marching orders to his teammate Luis Cavanda. Dursin picked up the referees card after it fell on the floor and shoved it in the referee's face. EFCC boss reveals he's ready to die fighting corruption

Ibrahim Magu, the acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC, says he is prepared to die as he fights corruption in Nigeria. The EFCC boss said this while speaking to ‎a group of Senior Lawyers led by Femi Falana, who paid him a solidarity visit at the agency's headquarters in Abuja yesterday February 18th. The rate at which the value of naira depreciates over the last few months have been so alarming, but the last few days seem to have the worse of it. On Tuesday February 17, it was N348 to $ 1, yesterday morning (February 18) it increased to N358 to $1. At night, which is now the latest, it became N400 to $1. Japanese Actor got stabbed and died during rehearsal

Daigo Kashino,a 33 year old theatre group actor died after getting stabbed in the stomach during a rehearsal  with what is believed to be either a real or mock samurai sword. The incident happened at a studio in Tokyo. Daigo was rushed to an hospital but died hours later, media reports indicated that nobody was watching exactly how it happened as other members of the group who were rehearsing alongside with him said they saw him hunched over as they turned around after hearing him groan. Tokyo police said on Tuesday they were investigating whether the death was criminal or accidental.
