LASU Female Student Died After Attending Sent Forth Party

A female student of Lagos State university (LASU), from the department of history and International Relations was reported dead on Friday after attending a sent forth party.

A‎midst wailing, the family members of the dead student whose corpse have been deposited at the Lagos State Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) stormed the university asking them to produce their child, they are however suspecting she was poisoned because of the blood that gushed out of her nose and mouth.

The school management claimed the organizers of the party which took place at an hotel did not get approval from the university management nor was the Students Union aware of the event, they have launched a thorough investigation into the incident and have asked the organizers to produce names of lecturers who they claimed attended the party, some of the students who attended the party and sat on the same table with her told university officials that they ate and drank the same food and drink.

Another male student is also on the danger list of LASUTH as he has been vomiting blood too. The acting Director, Centre for Information Press and Public Relations (CIPPR), Mr. Adekoya said ''The incident (party) happened outside the university campus, attention of LASU and LASUTH management is now focused on the male student on danger list as they battle to ensure he survives''.‎
