The News Agency of Nigeria just gave a report that a bomb explosion just occurred in Azare Town of Bauchi State, North-Eastern Nigeria.
The agency quotes the Bauchi State Police Commissioner, Lawal Shehu, as stating that the casualty figure is yet to be ascertained. He also said rescue operation is ongoing.
This would be second explosion in the town within a week following an earlier one on November 7 that killed 13 people.
The North-Eastern part of Nigeria has been the most affected by the Boko Haram insurgency which has caused the death of over 13,000 people and has displaced hundreds of thousands of others.
