Top leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) are reportedly upset over President Muhammadu Buhari's refusal to name his cabinet after spending over a month in power. Some APC leaders, who spoke to Thisday on the issue, opined that Buhari's delay in constituting a cabinet may affect the current administration negatively. The leaders who spoke on the condition of anonymity, viewed Buhari's decision to delay the cabinet as a ploy by a  "man who intends to shut out all the people who helped him win the election." One of them said,  "We are beginning to believe that the suspense by Mr. President is deliberate. He is exploiting the delay to scare away people like us who helped him get to the top. "Attempting to visit Mr. President when he was in the Defence House used to be a nightmare. With his movement into the State House, it has become almost impossible to see him. Tell me, how do you know what a man is thinking when you can't see him?...

My Reflections On The Just Concluded EKSUSUG Elections.

All Praises and Adorations are due to The Almighty God, who in his infinite mercies kept us all till this moment. It is your air we breathe, and in your mercies we thrive. The schedule, planning, conduct and supervision of this election won't have been possible without you being in charge. We are grateful. Personally, I think it would also be right if I appreciate the Management of Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti, who were thoughtful enough to give a green light to the conduct of elections into various offices of the Student Union Government of our great institution. I dare not underestimate the unrelenting efforts of the Dean of Students Affairs, Prof. I G Adanlawo and other members of the team that conducted and supervise the election. They had worked very hard and tirelessly to ensure the successful conduct of the election. I pray God Almighty reward you abundantly. Temitope Awelewa and the EKSUSU PRESS Team were also very active in the successful planning and conduct o...

Read it below:- "You weren't the first Naval personnel to die in the battle against insurgency, but the special thing about your death is that when you stepped on a landmine, you knew death was unavoidable (considering our present level of technology, training and other factors I wouldn't want to mention), so you alerted your colleagues to steer clear as far as they could go, away from the mine, before detonating the explosive. What an act of bravery? "All those whom you have saved will forever remain in your debt. Those of us who were not in the...

But What Could We All Do? A Tribute To My Uncle, AbdulRazaq Zubair Adegbuagun

Wednesday 8th July 2015 would rank amongst the days I would never forget in life. The day started brightly, by my timetable, I should have a lecture by 8:00 am, so I rushed to school so I won't miss the lecture. I got to class around 7:40am, sat in class and was expecting the lecturer. Around 9:46 am, when it was certain that the lecturer won't show up, I left class with a few other colleagues and headed towards the Microbiology Laboratory. On my way to the Laboratory, I heard someone call my name. Lo and behold, it was my big cousin, I rushed to meet him, hoping to disturb him a bit, to my disappointment he wasn't really in a good mood. When I got closer to him, he said to me softly, "Lawal's dad is dead".  I will forever remember my shock and consternation on hearing such disheartening news. I was traumatized, fighting really hard to hold back tears. I couldn't even say a word. I just walked away.... My uncle AbdulRazaq Zubair  belongs to the heavens n...

Awopeju Cosmas Shina popularly known as "Engr China" is an aspirant of EKSU Student Union Presidency. He is the same Engr China who wrote an open letter to Gov Fayose on the reduction of EKSU School fees in 2014.
